1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SabiKo application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

If you are using the App on behalf of a minor or someone under your care, you accept these Terms on their behalf and are responsible for their use of the App.

SabiKo is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) mobile application that enables users to communicate using text-to-speech, customizable symbol boards, vocabulary packs, and related features. The App is available in two tiers:

SabiKo Free: Core communication features at no cost
SabiKo Pro: Additional features via paid subscription or lifetime purchase

3. License Grant

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content, nor may you reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code.

4. User Accounts & Profiles

The App supports multiple user profiles on a single device. The free tier includes 1 profile; SabiKo Pro unlocks unlimited profiles. Cloud backup requires authentication via Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

SabiKo Pro is available as:

Monthly: $4.99/month, auto-renewing
Annual: $29.99/year, auto-renewing
Lifetime: $79.99 one-time purchase

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Prices may change with advance notice; existing subscribers will be notified before any price increase takes effect.

6. Free Trial

SabiKo Pro may offer a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the subscription price for the selected plan. Free trial eligibility is determined by the App Store or Play Store and is typically limited to one trial per account.

7. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. If you have billing concerns, please contact us and we will assist where possible.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's backend systems
Upload malicious content through custom audio or backup features
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App
Use the App in any way that could harm other users

9. Intellectual Property

The App includes content from various sources:

10. Content You Create

You retain ownership of all custom vocabulary, audio recordings, and board configurations you create in the App. By using cloud backup, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit that content solely for the purpose of providing the backup service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SabiKo, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Your locally stored data remains on your device. Cloud backup data may be deleted after 90 days of account inactivity.
